Connect a Facebook Page so customer Messenger chats for that Page arrive in Oration. You log in as the Facebook user who admins the Page — you do not log in as the Page. You need:

• A Facebook account that is an admin of the Page
• Messenger turned on for that Page
• A workspace role that can create channels

Create the connection

1. Go to Settings → Agents Platform → Channels.
2. On Facebook, click Connect (or ··· → Add connection).
3. Read the sheet, then click Log in to Facebook.

Oration opens Facebook and asks you to grant Page and messaging permissions.

Authenticate with Facebook

1. Sign in with the Facebook user that admins your Page.
2. When Facebook asks which Pages to share, grant the Page you want in this workspace.
3. Approve messaging and Page management access.
4. Facebook redirects you back to Settings → Agents Platform → Channels.

Oration attaches one Page per Connect. If the Facebook user admins several Pages, grant the Page you want now. To add another Page, click Add connection and go through Facebook Login again. When it works, the connection is Active and named after the Page.

After you connect

If the status is Error, the Page token may have expired or Messenger webhooks may have failed to subscribe. Open the connection and click Revalidate. You may need to log in to Facebook again. Disconnect removes the connection from this workspace. It does not delete the Facebook Page.

Do I create a Facebook app?

No. You approve Oration’s app for your Page. Stay on the Oration Channels page and use Log in to Facebook.

Can one login attach every Page I admin?

Not in one click. Connect once per Page.

Facebook Messenger for Oration is Page-based. Create or use a Facebook Page, then connect that Page.
